Walking Classroom Podcasts 1.0.35

The Walking Classroom app offers a collection of nearly 200 engaging and educational podcasts designed for students in grades 3–8 to enjoy while engaged in physical activity.

The podcasts cover various subjects in alignment with state standards:

• Social studies, encompassing topics like the Civil War, native cultures, the middle ages, the renaissance, and more.
• Language arts, focusing on writing skills, heroes and legends, literary elements, and other related themes.
• Science topics include astronomy, earth science, different careers in science, and additional scientific subjects.

Each 15-minute podcast on our completely ad-free app comes with discussion questions that aim to stimulate thought-provoking conversations.

The concept of The Walking Classroom program is based on research and encourages students to take a brisk 20-minute walk while listening to specially crafted educational podcasts for children. These podcasts not only start with a short health literacy message but also integrate character values throughout the narrative to promote social and emotional learning. Additionally, educators can access lesson plans and quizzes to facilitate comprehensive discussions and reviews of the podcast content.
